Product Review: Nexxus Dualiste Dual Benefit Leave-In Conditioning Spray
Product Review: Nexxus Dualiste Dual Benefit Leave-In Conditioning Spray
Cost: Around $12
Where to Purchase: Ulta and some drugstores
Claims: This is the answer for your dry hair. Get the dual benefit of color protection and hydration with Nexxus Dualiste Dual Benefit Leave-In Conditioning Spray. This scientifically developed and salon proven formula provides the ultimate in color protection plus the customized protection your hair needs. It infuses moisture in the hair and makes it vibrant. It also lends your hair great body and lift. The light and non-greasy formula in this conditioner provides hair with deep conditioning, infuses vital moisture and is extremely soft on the hair. This spray was scientifically formulated to provide best-in-class color protection and maximum hydration to dry, brittle and damaged hair
Thoughts: Long story short, this is OK and pretty good if you have thin hair and don't have a lot of it. As far as color protection I think it's bogus. My color faded regardless and I used it for about 6 months, finished 2 bottles and still had to color my hair every 5-6 weeks. However, seeing as I have thin hair and don't have a lot of it the leave-in conditioner worked pretty good for me however if you have a lot of hair or have thick or coarse hair this is not the leave-in conditioner that you want.
How I use it: Spray is liberally on my hair after I get out of the shower, style as normal.

Haul: TJ Maxx and Ulta 7/1/12
TJ Maxx Mini-Haul: more like good finds. I found two bottles of my favorite Nexus hairspray at 60% less than I usually pay at Ulta! They had tons more left so check out your local TJMaxx and see if you can find some. I also spotted this Korres quad which I thought would be GREAT as a stocking stuffer. Yes, I start in July to buy things :)
The spray was $5.99 and the shadows were $7.99. Great finds!
The Ulta Haul was a bit more extensive but I picked up items I was waiting for. Keep in mind that Organix, NYX, Maybelline, L'Oreal and Revlon were all BOGO50%OFF! Also, all Ulta brand items are on sale! Head over to Ulta if you want to pick up some great deals!
- Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. The conditioner was double the size, same price! Brilliant! I will post a review of these once I'm done with them :)
- The NYX liquid liners! My friend recommended these to me but I've been so happy with my Jordana one (which I need to do a review on!) that I didn't find the need to verge but seeing as I could try them both out for a bit of a discount, I went for it. Just an overview:
- Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe. I had one already but I just like these so much I went for another neutral. I'm so predictable! LOL It's a gorgeous matte gray.
- 3 Ulta Polishes, these were $2 each!! From L-R: Cream of the Crop, Pinata-Yada-Yada and Moody Blues. I think Moody Blues might be my 4th of July color!
- The BB Creams. I got the Maybelline one and the L'Oreal one, this is really why I went there, I desperately want to test these out and compare them. I'm already leaning towards the Maybelline one just because it has SPF.
I meant to stop by Walgreens to pick up some of those Sally Hansen polishes which are on sale in July but I think that will have to wait until later on this week!
Happy shopping everyone!

Product Review: Nexus Comb Thru Hair Spray
Product Review: Nexus Comb Thru Hair Spray (Natural Hold Design and Finishing Mist)
Cost: Around $11
Where to Purchase: Beauty salons or Ulta
Claims: Comb Thru Natural Hold Design and Finishing Mist gives you the confidence to create and re-create a flexible style with remarkable fullness and shine. Hair remains in place with a natural hold that lasts.
Thoughts: I love it. I first purchased the small travel one just to see if it even worked and after using it one time, having it on all day I went straight back to Ulta and got the large bottle. This stuff works incredibly well. It holds my curls without them being crunchy or hard, no white flakes and the day after my hair doesn't feel stiff like I doused it with hairspray and I don't feel the need to wash it, I can just re-style it.
How I use it: I spray on my hair after I've finished using the curling iron to it. Once the spray dries, which is pretty quickly, I comb my fingers thru it. The waves lasts all day and well into the night without having to re-spray.
